Reading feminist literature is psychological self-defense

Therefore, I encourage you to take part of what women are imagining, observing, discoursing, subverting, preserving

Despite what others might say or think

Books are liberators

Reality is was we are creating

And women are creating space for women to be spacious

...

Today is the 8th of March. ♀️ A great day to connect with the ancestry of women and queers who came before and have fought for our rights to live decent normal human lives.

Thank you! May you rest in peace! May I live in celebration and pleasure in honor of your pain and struggle. I will gift it forward.

The plan today was to gather women and folks from my community to explore what happens when we gather with the intention of support and celebration.

🌸🌸🌸

I'm still under the weather from a cold, so the actual meet-up was canceled.

So now I ask you instead:

How we can support and build resilience as women and in women-bodies? How do we celebrate womanhood and highlight what is amazing with being born as female?

What does it mean to be a woman 2023? How does oppression look like? Where are we holding ourselves back? Where are we held back? What parts of us could fly wilder, stand more firm, be more soft?

💘️💘

You don't have to answer. Food for thought. Hope all of you find ways to empower the woman inside and the one next to you.

I also wanted to co-create a book table with literature on the theme. Here is what I had at home, feel free to add to the library by recommending a book in the comments that is speaking on womanhood, gender, feminism or simply have inspired you to misbehave or drop in way deep.
